Its time to start hounding Tire Rack to import the Goodyear MTRs. Who knows if it will work, but, its worth a shot and won't take 5 minutes of your time...

Start hammering their customer service for requests for the 255/55 R19 Goodyear MTR.

Ive hit them twice getting two different reps and if we all do it they might see that they could actually sell 20 sets the first month.

Im also pretty sure they have better connections with Goodyear than the local guy at NTW.

We NEED a decent off roading tire!

You can also encourage Goodyear to start offering them in North America.

I was told by Goodyear local retailer (he called somewhere up the line for the answer) they will not sell them in the USA, for what reason we can not find out. The only recourse I found is to pay thru the nose and have them shipped from the UK. Be great if they sold them in Canada, but apparently not there either.

The only solution I could find is at $600 per tire, including shipping! Ouch.

Whats wrong with BF Goodrich, don't they make a 19" tire to suit your application?

I have searched high and low for a 19", 18", or 17" tire that would be a great offroad tire, yet leave us at the same outside diameter (so as to keep the speedo accurate). But no dice... there is nothing. BF Goodrich is the first I checked, since I use their A/T's on my GMC truck.

This is a well known issue with Land Rovers... there is a paucity of offroad tires for this great offroad truck. Interesting isn't it?

I may bite the bullet on the MTR's.... the existing Goodyear Wranglers perform absolutely poor in the snow.

A company called Nokian will be making a snow tire for the LR3 in the 18 inch size.

If you are already running 19" rims, it may well be a case of waiting until more manufacturers begin making this diameter in different sizes, otherwise, you might have to bite another bullet and get smaller rims.

Do they already make this tire? If not, do you happen to know when they will?
