I know its a little late to respond to this old thread but if possible could you please post your father in laws dark blue grill picture. Mine is dark blue as well and interested in the grill and came acorss powerfuluk ones. Would like to see how it looks and know how it fits.

I like the design of the Narpy and the Beanie grilles.

I bought one of the RRS styles off eBay. $120 or so. I was looking for a matching paint color for my Bonatti gray. Well the color match is exact which seems like dumb luck as they are all only advertised as "gunmetal gray". However the lower clips are as a previous post mentioned. They line up but are too week to hold. Top clips are fine but lower ones aren't gonna cut it. They are slightly different design than stock. Contacted seller and he said to send it back for refund but I'd already trashed the box. Figure I'll just cut my stock clips and use some special plastic jb weld to try and get them to hold. New to the LR3 but amazed that a $50k vehicle uses cheap plastic toy grade stuff to secure the grill. My last grand Cherokee had a 10x better mounting system for the grill.

Have any of you guys looked or used Grillcraft aftermarket grilles? They are made from exclusive steel mesh pattern, require no cutting and include Main Grille and Bumper insert: http://www.carid.com/2006-land-rover-lr3-grill/grillcraft-mx-grille-44401824.html

Appreciate the info CarID... can you give specifics as far as fit and finish. Most of the aftermarket grills have substandard attachments as compared to the OE ones.

Are these made in America, China, somewhere else?

Is there just the one style? That metal mesh will block my laser jammer

tlt, these grilles are made in US, in California. For LR3 they are available in 3 different finishes - black, silver and polished, but the style is basically the same. The grilles are made from exclusive steel mesh pattern design along with the company’s micro-frame design, and covered with a thick and uniform powder coat. As for the fitment, they are designed specifically for each model and require drilling for mounting screws. I ordered a grille that was supposed to match the silver of the truck and they sent the wrong one. I'm trying to decide if this looks alright or send it back for the matching silver. I'm on the fence, I like the different look, but I cant' say I'm in love with it.

EGRIZZLE, I kind of like the look. I've got a Java Black 06 LR3 and I have been thinking of going with the LR4 style grill but cant decide whether to go with black, black/chrome, black/silver or chrome.

I have a Zermatt Silver as well, here's mine I got prom PowerfulUK

It's not 100% match, but I'm ok with it.
