Hi all, I finally got around to replacing the hood sensor. If your alarm is going off randomly while your rig is locked or if you're receiving random error messages about the bonnet being open, odds are it's your sensor. I'm sure some have covered this before, but it's a rather easy and quick fix.

I purchased the Land Rover OEM part direct from Amazon for $42. I went ahead and got the entire hood latch/sensor assembly as LR has improvised the prior design for having faults.

I did the replacement in about 20 minutes in the dark. Would have taken less time had I used a light source other than my phones flashlight. If anyone has questions or needs help shoot me a PM.

My '16 Landmark had to get a new hood sensor about 3k miles in. Got errors about the hood open and couldn't lock the doors. Took the dealership 30 mins to swap out.
