Recently moved to Colorado and planning to get some more aggressive tires so I can start exploring more than the mall.

It seems that the Duratrac is one of the most popular tires in our limited selection of 19s. However, tirerack lists the duratrac as being "special order" and Goodyear seems to no longer list the Duratrac in 255/55/19 ?

Anyone have any insight on if this size has been permanently discontinued?

The 255-55-19 was definately on their site two times with different SKU's and then gone again. I think if and when they decide to run another batch, they will put it back on their site while it is avaialble from distributors, and then once they are all sold, they will reomve it again. Then you have to find who has it in stock at the local level after that...

Weird. I never saw it on Goodyear's website back when I was looking.

Discount tire or Simple tire were the best places I would find them in stock.

Just go to a goodyear shop...they will have them. They did for me and a year later they put them on my neighbor's rig. Both times they were nowhere to be found on their site.

I ran the Duratracs before and didn't have a good time with them at all. I just switched to 18" wheels and have 4 used Cooper Zeon LTZ and 1 unused spare in 255/55/19 I'm selling cheap. Really good tire and way better than the Duratrac IMHO. And I'm in CO. Sorry I know these are not that classifieds but I can't post there until I have 50 posts on the forum.

I debated heavily about getting the 18 compos with bigger rubber...or going with spacers and and lr3 wheel...but...I just don't see it being necessary as long as I'm not powering through sections. I may rethink everything once I need a new set...but...just not seeing the need...the 19 duratracs are doing me well in all terrains, including technical ones. I'm taking that money and investing in underbody protection instead at the moment. (cracked my trans pan on a rock that was below the waterline in a drop off....whoops... DIY fixed though)

issue I had with the Duratrac was a damaged sidewall from an off road drive but hardly an abusive one and I was really surprised. Also the tires didn't wear very well and got super loud on the highway. Tread depth on this tire size is no where near where it is on any of the 17 and 18's. Hey what rack is that you your rig iSurfvilano?
