I've got a 2011 HSE which in general has been a great rig. Other than a weird couple of electrical gremlins anyway. While not a big deal as it only happens occasionally, the left steering wheel controls that control the radio volume and mode get confused at times. Once in while when you hit the volume up or down it will change modes like from Sat radio to CD and sometimes you hit the volume down and it gets louder. Again, not a big deal I just find this so weird and wonder if anyone else experiences this? Also my homelink garage door opener is wonky. Works while opening but sometimes will not close.

My steering wheel radio buttons stop working sometimes. They just go dead and do nothing. Restart the LR4 and they are back to working fine.

Entire radio would randomly go dead on our old LR3 and would return with a simple restart.

We figure it's just part of the unexpected fun of owning a British vehicle.

Love the "unexpected fun" in LR ownership. Especially this one as it is not costing $$$$.

Fully charge your battery, and clear all of your codes. Mine used to go a bit weird (radio power button dies, or the screen goes off by itself) if the battery was a bit low. Installing a new battery solved those problems.

The issue with the radio controls on the steering wheel is common, if you search you will find a couple old threads. It has to do with a ring in the control. Mine does it every now and then, I just repeated push the phone buttons and it seems to reset.

Thanks Husker, didn't find those old threads when I searched. Happens so infrequently, it's thankfully not an issue

I searched but didn't find it. It seems more common with the LR3 than the LR4. I must have read it on another forum, or I'm not using the right search criteria. It has to do with the clock spring wearing out, beyond that it got really technical, electronically speaking. Mine happens so rarely, I just write it off as British engineering.
