Has anyone reflashed their 3.0SC V6 aka Tune?

Well i got the tuner, pulley and belt. I have a mac so i had to buy parallels and run windows to get the flasher to work. Kind of a pain as there is a specific sequence of things to get windows to identify the tuner. Not exactly straightforward, but it can work. anyway, i went through the process - note that the LR4 is not one of the cars on the tuner, it is instead the JAG scv6 that you use to pull down your eco file. Pretty easy. emailed stuart and chris the results. They are definitely attentive and respond quickly. i had them turn off the ECO feature and they sent me three tunes - stock, no pulley, and pulley. I will get the pulley installed on friday. for now i am on the "stage 1" if you will. Definitely peppier. more torque down low. engine feels very lively and punchy. and it pulls much faster and harder through the revs. It almost feels like it is running away from me and I have to back off the throttle much faster. Going to take some adjusting to i imagine. overall I would say that this tune level feels like the truck should have come this way from the factory. i know LR likes to differentiate off the same platform, but it is a shame you have to void the warranty to do what the engine is capable of.
Should be pretty significant difference with another 40 or 50hp after the pulley. I am quite interested to see what happens to my MPG after this and after i calm down to normal driving again.
I average about 13.5 before the tune. Lots of city and driving 80mph+ in the mountains.

Great news. Which did you go with again? So it's pc based, does it datalog too? If so did they have you do a pull and log data and tuned using that data?

It’s Velocity AP. Not sure if the flasher does datalogging. That would make sense but as I haven’t gotten the pulley in yet I haven’t thought much about it. I think they give you a tune and then work from that starting point if you are unhappy with some aspect of it. So it would make sense that you could send them some hard number feedback. But I can’t say yet. There’s a bunch more info on the jag forum. I guess sports car people are more apt to increase hp than suv folks. But with a hundred plus more hp the lr4 will be pushing into the svx zone. For a little less money.

Day two on the tune alone. What i notice so far is that the power feels a little more exponential than linear in my normal driving routine. If that makes sense. When i apply throttle it almost feels like i press it down 30% and then have to back off a little because the car starts pulling harder than intended. I would say it's a combination of sensitivity and the stock tune's piggishness. The stock tune feels like the throttle is a bit of a marshmallow. you push into it in various gears and it is slow to respond and accelerates rather linearly. Now it feels more repsonsive, to the point where i am having to modify acceleration habits. I wants to get out of its own way, for better or worse.
On the highway in the higher gears it's definitely noticeable. more like an airplane taking off. dont need much throttle input to pass people.
will be interesting to see what the pulley brings to the table tomorrow.

Well day two on the tune. Pretty amazing. Feels about like my buddy’s raptor. Very strong. Smoother across the powerband with the pulley on.
It really scoots now. Honestly it feels like it should come this way from the factory. Not quite amg g wagon. But closer. Highway ramps are like a runway. More torque down low getting up my ridiculously steep hill.

It’s great so far. I will have an mpg update in a tank or so. Have to stop testing the limits and settle back into normal driving.

That was my problem. I haven't put it back on because it was making the transmission **** and downshift all weirdly. I actually logged the spike you're talking about. I don't think they've ever been able to fix it. In my case, it was literally requesting 50% power when I pushed the throttle one mm more. It was not linear at all. They claimed not to adjust the throttle mapping but they have to be doing that for this issue to arise. I have been disappointed in the handheld thing too. Looks like something I could have made at home. I'm used to VW tuning which is on the cutting edge. Everything is high quality and of course there's a ton of support with much greater gains and driveability was never impacted.

TO be honest, i noticed that more with the tune alone. With the pulley, it feels smoother overall. Not sure why, but it's strong without being so touchy, if that makes sense. As i stated earlier, i dont know if it is me or the car adapting overall, but the tune/pulley combo seems to have settled out a bit and it now all feels normal - more powerful, but more of a normal power band.
