Not really; it’s a matrix display and the “eco off” is only one of the symbols that could display in that location.

Hah - was actually thinking about the electrical tape solution yesterday. I'm sure whatever else it wants to display there couldn't be that important, right? ;)

Any other ‘14 - ‘16 owners out there that can comment if that warning light stays on when you hit the eco button to disable start-stop? Car is back at the dealer today for some other warranty repair stuff and they seem determined to fix this.
Yes, our MY 2015 ECO lights stays on when disabled. What would the dealer be trying to fix?

No idea. My SA seems to think that the warning light shouldn't stay on and he said there were some error codes with the start-stop that he needed to look into. I assume he'll determine that everything is working normal - so just wanted to confirm here it is indeed normal. Thanks

At one point the ECO system didn't work for me AND the light didn't come on, that was delightful.

LR Service Techs found a power control module went south within the ECO system. I should have asked for the part back and re-insalled it. :creep:

I've since disabled the system by disconnecting the ground.

2015 LR4 Lux with 24000 miles. STop Star worked for about two days a few years back, and has not worked since. About 6 months ago, our eco warning light came on and has mostly stayed on (90%) of the time. It's due for it's yearly oil change, so I'll ask the dealer in a few weeks.

Didn't like the few days we spent with stop/start. Light is annoying, but not as annoying as the stop/start. For those who think it is "smooth", you obviously have not driven a properly calibrated stop/start system.
