Looks like I will need to replace the rear bumper (or just leave it hanging or superglue it to the frame.) Some of the attachments on the inside of the bumper broke off.

So is there an aftermarket rear bumper for the 2014 with will accommodate the sensors. (I actually like the rear sensors on the 2014 as they let you know if cross traffic is approaching.)

My suspicion is "no". David bought the last Kaymar. :argh: ARB doesn't have a 2014 option (my dealer confirmed that there were changes with the 2014 so the 2013 would not work.) Tactical has decided not to accommodate the sensors. My dealer said that Poison Spyder might do something custom but was not sure.

Options?

Bumper fixed by local LR dealer. $450 for parts and labor. Had to replace a couple of brackets. All good to go. I'll wait on an aftermarket bumper for some good 2014 versions come out and for me to need it.

In my experience, the $450 would be easy. It would be the raised eyebrows from the CFO (wife) that would be even more irritating! :ahhhhh:

Ha! I am blessed with a wonderful wife. Every time I get a scratch on it and even with this bumper "mishap" her response was, "didn't we get this to go places we wouldn't go in a regular car?" I do suppose there are limits to her understanding, though. ;-)

Treat her well!

I married a keeper, too. Although she doesn't share my same level of enjoyment of the LR mystique, she humors me and doesn't begrudge my frequent road trips in it.

Once we're empty nesters this fall I think she'll develop a better appreciation of the Landy and all the stuff we can do in it!

Why couldn’t you drill the aftermarket steel bumper for the sensors. It seems like a no brainer

Eric at tactical will still put the sensor holes in his bumpers. Mine has them. They only really work when I don't have the jerry or tire swings on. You do have to figure out the sensor mount, its a little tricky, but it works. Put o-rings around the front of them and make some little plastic plugs for them

Looks good!

The 2014+ also has the rear radar sensors located underneath the taillights that would need to be accommodated somehow. I could see a steel bumper with plastic inserts at those places, but there's no way you'd be able to get a functional swing arm then.
