I have the Cooper Zeon LTZ’s and love them! They can be a bit noisy on the road but that’s just something you sacrifice.

Nice looking ride. I'd probably look at those YOKOs before the Cooper's though. I had bad luck in the past with Cooper SUV spec tires with knots/hard spots and they made a hella noise. May have just been a bad batch but I had at least two swapped out in the first 60 day as defects.

They sure do but the picture is misleading. Is that a 15" wheel with a 85 series sidewall? One could only dream for that much sidewall on a Land Rover.

I really wish someone would come out with a good, all-terrain tire with a good, E-rated sidewall in a 255/65/19 size.

I'm curious what size wheel the new Defender will come with. Those latest spy photos look like they could be 18" wheels. If they are 19's, though, I could see Land Rover striking a deal with a manufacturer to make legit 19" all-terrain tires, that is if it wants the Defender to have any legitimate off-road cred at all.

That is what LR did with the Duratracs - the 255/55/19 size was made specifically for Land Rover (which is what Goodyear told me). With the other vehicles moving to 31" tires, I imagine that would be the default for the Defender as well, with stock capacity to handle up to 33" and then beyond that needing a lift or something. But its all a guess at the moment.

Bikrover, I have 4 19" LR4 wheels with 255/55R19 tires each with TPMS installed for sale if you're interested ($600). Three of the tires are Cooper Zeon LTZ and one is a Goodyear Duratrac as I popped my other Cooper in Moab and no-one for 750 miles had another Cooper, so had to buy the Goodyear. I have a 2012 LR4 and just recently went to 18" wheels. If interested let me know, if not, no worries, good luck in your search. Tread depth for the three Coopers are 8/32 and for the Goodyear its 13/32...I have more pics I can post.IMG_7975.JPG IMG_1819.JPGIMG_6477.JPGIMG_8247.JPGIMG_5812.JPG

The wheels are in great shape, but the the wheel that had the popped tire has some scratches, which I was going to buff out, but simply took tires off and have been sitting in my garage.

Went with the BFG KO2 275/65r18. Required some cutting of the frame horns and plastic in front wheel wheel. Back was fine. Also used spacers from lucky8. Great so far but they were worthless in some mud on switchbacks other day...which I guess is why they have KMs

I’ve got the Goodyear duratrac. They are a bit noisier than the street tires I had( for obvious reasons) but honestly they aren’t bad at all. The little bit of noise you hear is very low pitch( not an annoying whine) the grip these tires have is INSANE and life wise I’ve put these on 4 ford F350s that’s sole purpose was towing 30k lbs between states and on really bad logging roads in Georgia. They lasted about 40k before they were to low for DOT. That’s an insane amount of miles on a towing truck for off road tires. So over all I swear by them. Great tire!

Hi guys I am thinking of getting new tires for my lr4 it has the 19 inch wheels I want to go with all terrain tires to give the car a beefy look and good for off road . Has any one tried different sizes besides the 255/55/19 that work fine cant seem to find nice looking tires in this size the only one I think is ok is the wrangler dura track but I think they will be noisy any suggestions
I had the Arturo Trail Blades which looked invredible but were very loud. I could live with the noise, but 2 of this he 4 tired had belt or tire separation around 14,000 Miles. The speed rating was only 114. The low speed rating and weight of the LR4 are not a good mix if you do a lot of fast highway driving. I had discount tires direct warranty all four tires and set me up with the Cooper Zeon LTZ’s. They do not look nearly as tough, but they are not loud and drive great. If you do not mind spending the money, get lather it smaller rims and go with the BF Goodrich All Terrains...I have had them on my past 3 vehicles..they are a little louder but wear extremely well, look great, and are very dependable. Good Luck!!!
