i’m a Canadian with a 2016 LR4 HSE Lux. I have 255/55/r19 Continental all season tires as well as Continental 255/55/r19 snow tires. My spare, annoyingly, is a mini and I am considering replacing it with one of my all seasons as I’m about to make the seasonal switch to the snow tires. Boring story as to why I have both types. BTW I will be driving to Florida in the new year for a few months but we already have snow on the ground here.
I’d welcome thoughts and comments and strategy.

Plug and play then. Careful not to overtorque the spare tire winch.

Sounds like a no brainer. Any full size spare tire that matches the size of the running ones is better than the compact donut in an emergency.

Will it fit the same or Will a full size tire in the spare spot hang down real low and be visible from behind the car?

It will hang low (no lower than the exhaust pipes in front of it) and a chunk of it - a few inches - will be visible from behind the car.

When getting full size spare tire do not forget about 5 wheel rotation pattern.
Otherwise your full size spare may be useless when you need it one day. ( or should I say your diff. may not like it )
