I'm still trying to learn how to use forums so I’m sorry in advance! I know there are a bunch of this out there but I have an LR3, it’s hard to find out what I need, how many I need, and what way to put the led light bar in. I want to put LEDs in the cluster and do everything to the a/c to doors buttons, and to the 4x4 button. Some people say you need resistors some people say you don’t. All the bulbs will be pure bright white. I don’t want to send to a shop so someone else can do it, I want to do it on my own. If someone else on here knows how or have a good diagram that is easy to see that will be awesome.

Thank you hope someone can help!

I've done the interior but none of the instruments. I ordered from superbrightleds.com. I ordered 10 each 194 LED Bright White Miniature Wedge Base, 2 each 194 5 SMD LED Tower Miniature Wedge Base Cool White, 2 3157 CAN BUS Dual Function 26 SMD LED Tower - Wedge Retrofit Amber that I was going to use in the turn signals but they didn't flash right so I took them out and may try to use them in the fog lights. I also ordered 10 each 194 LED Bulb - 5 SMD LED Tower - Miniature Wedge Base Cool White. If I remember correctly the first order of 10 were so bright I could have done surgery in the front seat so I ordered 10 that weren't quite as bright and that's what I replaced all the dome lights with and I put the bright ones in the puddle lights, and I think the license plate lights. Hope this helps.

Those sound like what i put into the dome lights but did you read his post? He's talking about all the instrument lights behind various buttons and such..... WHAT THE HELLLLLL is going on with that??? who does that? why? sounds nuts and useless.

are you actually talking about the hidden lamps that illuminate the various buttons and switches? why do those matter at all? they just sit there and glow.

most people will replace dome lamps, door grounding, rear hatch, the kinds of lights that come on when doors are opened. you might be creating a huge problem with what you're considering.

For your reading pleasure attached below is 417-02 "Interior Lighting" from the LR3 manual. I would forget about swapping out the instrument lights, switch lights, etc. For one reason I have found that in some applications the LED lights make normal illumination look fake. I put LEDs in my side markers and they just looked to bright or just fake for lack of a better term so I put the old bulbs back in. Having said that, I just googled LR3 Instrument cluster bulbs and some guy named Danny Latham has put LED's in his instrument cluster and I have to say it looks pretty wicked. Here is the link:
