Hi All, I've been reading on the forum for a while, and wanted to thank you all for helping me with my purchase, 2013 LR4 Indus Silver/Almond one-owner that I found only 20 minutes down the road. Wanting a different vehicle with 4 wheel drive, a second row that would seat my 3 boys without having to get into the 3rd row, really good cargo space, and not a huge external vehicle. It came down for me between LR4, Landcruiser, and Sequoia. I've been man-crushing on the LR3 and LR4 for a while, but coming from Toyota and Honda vehicles my reliability spidey senses wouldn't let me move on one. Yet, I've read, probably 90% of the threads on this forum, so you all got me over the ****. Although I don't trust everything I read, so I went ahead and got a 2 year-24K mile warranty on it that would cover quite a bit including suspension, so kind of hoping for a failure now so I can put some new parts on it, it's a higher mileage vehicle.

Now after 3 months I can say I love this rig. The driving position is awesome. The view out the windows is one of the best available. The 2nd row for our needs (3 boys) is perfect: 3 bucket-like seats vs. bench seat. The 4 wheel drive is intuitive, and all though I won't really be needing rock sliders, although I might find some in the future, I can essentially go down any road I want to go down. My wife asks me now, "did you have to go over that?", "did you have to go thru the huge mud puddle?", "did you have to take the gravel road?", my response, "Yeah, pretty much had too!" The cargo space is great, and the split back is a blessing and a curse, but I'll take sitting on the tailgate watching my sons play soccer over a fold up chair any day.

My wife, who is an unapologetic minivanista loves driving it becomes of the seat position, window views, and thinks she'll be able to run over/through anything, because it feels like a tank.

I've made only two changes so far, I bought some LR OEM Black Wheels from a good Atlanta-LR4 owner who made the move to Compomotive 18s and lift rods (a bit jealous) and tinted the front windows. Before and after wheel pics attached.

Thanks again. Jared
