If you already did the LCA bushings, why is the dealer saying you need them again?
Thats why we call them the stealership, 3/4 of the estimate is bogus, my LCA’s are fine, i have zero suspension noise and zero uneven tire wear. The technicians are very aggressive and are ready to say everything is bad. All my bulbs work and my wiper blades are new too but the estimate shows i need bulbs and wiper blades. All i need is an idler pulley and upper and lower rear suspension knuckle bushings. I laughed when i saw the estimate.

I guess it really matter what franchise the dealer is a part of. My LRJ dealership was absolutely incredible and honest. I had a list of things to check gathered from this board and others, and the service tech listed them off before even seeing my notes. I must be very blessed because I was a licensed fleet mechanic for years, and everything they did checked out with what I'd do.

So did you pay cash or card? Or did you trade it in? That's ridiculous. DIY you can find and redo your entire cooling system for about $200. Pick up the water pump, thermostat, plastic water pump pipe, crossover pipe, and coolant to do it yourself. RockAuto.com and AutohausAZ.com you'll find the parts. https://landroverforums.com/forum/lr4-38/land-rover-lr4-5-0-water-pump-replacement-diy-86945/#.

I'm a DIY guy, the only reason i went there was because i bought extended warranty when i bought the car 2yrs ago and it was about to run out. The warranty company covered the water pump but did not cover the crossover pipe so i had to pay for that. My idler pulley was also noisy so i replaced it myself. I posted a video of replacing the idler pulley. Every other item listed on the estimate is bogus.

Why didn't the warranty cover the crossover pipe? The Land Rover CPO warranty covered it on mine.

Word of caution. I got cute buying a reman pump from rock auto and it lasted about 3000 miles before the bearing/seal **** the bed. Total garbage.

Its a POS warranty company called Guarantee VC, I was surprised too when they said they wouldn't cover the crossover pipe. I bought my LR4 from a Hyundai dealer in Drummonville Quebec and that was the only warranty company they had.

Good to know. Luckily my POS warranty covered mine when it went out too.

The upper crossover pipe is actually really easy to do. I think I bought an oem part from AutohausAZ.com, and did it myself. Just pop off your engine cover, depressurize your fuel lines (remove fuel pump fuse and run the engine till it almost dies and turn it off, forgot which number but it says so on the top part of the lid), remove the plastic intake between the mafs and throttle body, remove your upper fuel line from left to right, remove the bolts of the intake manifold, I don't think you have to remove the throttle body, lift the front of the manifold up (I hung it up with ratcheting tie down between the 2 hood latches), remove the 2 screws holding the upper crossover tube, replace the tube, and reverse the process to reinstall everything. At the end top it off with coolant and bleed it properly or else you'll run hot with air bubbles. I took my time on it and still took about 30-45 minutes to complete.
