Alarm issues are normally for hood sensors. Check to make sure it is aligned correctly.

I have the problem since I bought my car recently , its a 2009 Range Rover Sports HSE, I used to get the Open Hood message and intermittent alarm in my car. I bought the Hood Switch Assembly from Atlantic British and changed it myself. Now the Open Hood Message is totally gone but I still have the alarm sounding off almost everyday, specifically at night and sometimes as early as 5-00 AM, its such an unnecessary situation for the neighbors :(, any insight on this will be appreciated

I have stopped my alarm sounding by disconnecting it behind the dash panel. But it does not cure the problem. Of coarse all the other sensors now don,t sound the alarm as if I need them

In both cases if you have changed or done something and the issue is still present, find a Rover Mechanic and have them put in on the computer to test. Heck worst case $150 diagnostics will get you the answers on what needs done. Most of the sensors you can change yourself.

Sorry I didn't respond to this yesterday, had a serious spammer on the site and had over 500 posts that was blocking my view of current posts.

Have you had any aftermarket work done i.e. radio/alarm/remote starter?

I do my own work. The last thing I did was weld the chassis for the MOT. I always disconnect the battery when welding.

I would pull the alarm system/immobilizer and check for corrosion.
