I know NGK makes the OEM plugs for the LR4. However when I plug the LR4 into the NGK site I get two plugs. Both iridiums but with different heat ranges.

Which one is OEM? I may have to go pull one if I can't find it out on the net...

NGK ILKAR7C10 or ILKAR6C10?

For the 5.0L V8 (Jaguar AJ133 engine), the FSM shows ILKR6C-10 gapped to 1.0mm. Might also show up somewhere in the owner's manual?

Follow up. The 6C10 has been superseded by the 7C10. It's weird the replacement is a different heat range.

Finally got around to doing the plugs. 6c10 came out and 7c10 went in. 6c10 discontinued and replaced by 7c10 which is different heat range

At right at 80,000 miles, I'm ready to do a premature maintenance job and tackle my spark plugs. Glad I found this thread. You can't really find the 6C10 plugs anymore, and if you can they are priced like collector's items compared to the 7C10.

The best price I've found on the 7C10 plugs is direct from NGK's own website.

Rock auto seems to have both again?

FWIW the 7C10s have been running smooth

Damn. They are cheaper than the NGK website. But I do only see the 7C10's and not the earlier ones.

I did my plugs already and it took me about 6 or more hours, the last 2 on each size were very difficult to get to, you will need several extentions and a flexible ratchet to do the job. I did them at 180,000Km and the old ones i took out looked decent. I did not know 6C10 was the OEM but luckily i used the 7C10. Got each plug for $17CAD each
