I searched but either searched poorly or nothing has changed....

Posting to see if anyone has a block heater solution for the SCV6. NA MY2016

I know the car heats up quick but when temps go low for multi days I’d like the option if it’s available. Doesn’t seem like there is an oem solution

Thank you

Are you looking for an electric block heater of some kind? The easiest one is the heating mats you glue to the oil pan.

We bought a Mzl328 that came from Fairbanks-it had block heaters, transmission heaters and a battery blanket.

Not that I know of and a big drawback to the LR4 where the temps get low and you are forced outside. This is one reason I try to keep away from a ski box as it precludes use of a garage in most cases.

I believe the LR3 initially had block heaters as a dealer installed option but the cords were recalled (never certified) and they never came back. If someone finds one please let us know although at this stage of the LR4 I am losing hope lol.

I almost didn’t post bc I felt it was just going to clog up the board....but its not another “what size tire” or “are lift rods bad” question so I figured what the hell.

Im losing hope too. There are times like this I just scratch my head with LR....

I don't think that the information regarding LR4 lacking blockheater from stock is correct. My Canadian MY 2012 came with one preinstalled but not wired. All I had to do is to get the cord from Lordco(Canadian parts store) and plug it in. It's the same as some other Ford engines so should be easy to source and was about 50 bucks. The block heater is located on the bottom left side of the block close to the firewall. Since scv6 is the same block just with two celinders lobed off I would expect it to be the same.

The dealership in Kelowna was very helpfull in finding the right wiring harness.

Pre installed from the factory or dealer? You bought it new?

Bottom left side? driver or passenger side?

I bought it used but was told by the dealer they all come like that.

Its on the left side which in North America means driver side.

I know Land Rover pulled the cords on the LR3 because they were not certified. I did not know about the 4s. I imagine it will require pulling the skid plate to confirm so will wait to it goes up from the present -25.
