Thread still active?
I have this fault on my 13 Evoque.
Battery (in freezing Temps) was 12.2V, at idle 13.9V....seems too high...?
Faults been active for a week... But car starts and runs fine. . Cranks good even in sub-freezing Temps.
Battery is an Interstate with 6 year warranty. ..
Unsure if it's original.
Also pulled the terminals off the posts and cleaned... Checked plug connectors Seems all good.
Suggestions?

The Interstate is not original, but it is what the dealer replaces the original battery with when the original goes out.

I had an Interstate go out about a year ago. It was less than 2.5 years old. Got a discount on a new one. Land Rovers are ******* batteries.

I'm wondering if mine will soon be ruined if it's constantly being charged.... 13.9V is high when I measured it. Unsure of its constantly that high....
Maybe I'll have the shop plug into it tomorrow and pull the codes.

Its normal for the Alternator reading to be over 14 volts while the car is running, the voltage also changes when you switch on the lights or A/c.

Yes, checked this, and there is a short voltage drop when powering up accessories .. Then goes back to 13+.

Again, engine off, and I'm reading 12.2V
Apparently Google says 12.2V is a battery at 75% to 50% charged.
So the battery isn't able to be fully charged....
Sound plausible?

So just dropped in a new, 800CCA AGM battery...
Error still displays on dash. I'm assuming the new battery likely isn't 100% off the shelf and/or it might take a few drive cycles to clear the error....
I hope!

Get a scanner and pull the codes, without knowing the codes its almost like shooting in the dark...12v to 12.6v volts is normal when the engine is off, or should i say a fully charged battery will read within that range. Not sure what you googled that said the battery is 50-75% charged. if your battery is able to start your car on a cold morning then its fully charged.

My garage didn't show any codes. . Or couldn't read any. Using a SnapOn scanner... Just said battery voltage low.
Also, a friend's OBD scanner didn't read anything also.
I think it's something the dealer has to do?

Has anyone come to an official conclusion on what causes this problem? I am having the intermittent Charging System Fault pop up, and yesterday it finally started acting funny in other ways such as my suspension locking in normal mode and other lights coming up. I am assuming this is related to low battery but not sure
