I was thinking of adding seafoam to crankcase to clean out any sludge buildup and some in gas tank... Heard good things about it but not in these money pits... Advice before I do something dumb. Thanks in advance

I think BG44 (or whichever number) in the gas tank is the more "Land Rover sanctioned" product.

I"ve used sea foam in my wife's honda van in the gas tank but not in the LR and not in the crank case. Remember if you dilute your oil it's not just working on sludge, it's thinning what keeps the bearings and bushings lubricated. If you try it I would only run it a short time and then drain the crankcase and change the oil.

Thanks.. I haven't yet. And probably won't add any in the crankcase but will run some in gas tank

In the Honda I pulled the brake vacuum line and poured it in while the engine was running.

Well I did it even though everyone around me said not too. Truck runs better, engine is quieter, added in gas tank and drove about 80miles... Im happy with results
