surprisingly no lol and I didn't even buy the car from them. my dealership has been very helpful for all of my DIY services, I bought 3 quarts of transfer case oil from them and they gave me a whole packet on ALL fluid changes, torque specs, and amounts. reprogrammed 2 amazon aftermarket key fobs( even thought they're not suppose to unless its an oem key) and have suggested cheaper alternatives to dealer prices. Even did a free vehicle inspection for me one day( and didn't make up some BS about how I needed work done)
......im sure they are just buttering me up for when I actually have to pay them for something
They are vibration dampeners, or moudlating frequency adsormers. The were NOT added after taking weight out. They are the mechanical conductive sound dampening equivalent of the various "appendicies" you often find on any cars intake manifold, which are to dampen the pulsating for valve overlap on modern high reving engines.
And they work. If you take them off, the ride noise increases with no increase in fuel economy
