Whining from the engine Whats going on? What part do I need to replace?

Replaced the PCV and most of the noise is gone. The is still a whine that can be heard when I hit the gas in park or in drive. It definitely is not as loud as before. The sound dissipates as the sound of the V8 takes over at a higher rpm. Checked all belts fluids and AC is off. Sounds like maybe a vacuum still or Im not sure... There is a good mechanic a half an hour from me Im going to have it checked out. Don't want to get caught by surprise as it doesn't sound right.
