Glad to hear that about the KM3. I'm planning on that size/model being my next tire.

Are those TR sliders? Any issue with that size rubbing on the slider? That is my only remaining concern with that tire size.

Wait a minute, that is an LR4, correct? Or did you update the front end of a LR3?

I see a snorkel....if it is a 4, what did you do with the driver's side air intake????

What the heck are you talking about? The driver side intake is right there, just as it should be. Of course it's an lr4 dude, why would anyone with an lr3 change out fenders, bumper, grill, etc, etc and use compo wheels? Maybe you wrote while drinking... ;)

I too am curious about the turning clearance at the slider specifically. I bet it's close enough that an ET 35 might cause trouble compared to this ET 44 8.5 wheel and 33" tire.

He's talking about the fact that the LR4 has dual side intakes. The LR3 only has one on the passenger side. So if you add a snorkel, the question is how or if you seal the driver side intake to allow the snorkel to operate effectively.

Actually, I was drinking as I was getting ready to head out to see Tesla (the band, not a car...), but I wasn't slobbering at that point yet.

cperez is correct. I'm wondering if nasdiesel did anything with the driver's side intake as far as rerouting it, blocking it, etc, as the LR4 has an intake on each side.

To my knowledge, nobody makes a driver's side snorkel for the LR4, which is why you don't really see any petrol LR4's with a snorkel. You can bolt an LR3 snorkel up to the passenger side intake without issue, but that still leaves you with the stock intake on the driver's side, which defeats the purpose of having a snorkel in the first place.

Very curious if nasdiesel found a workaround. There was someone a few years ago on EP, I think that played around with it, but IIRC he couldn't get it converted to a single sided intake without the truck throwing a code.

I thought we were talking about wheels and tires? ;-) I've tapped/connected a secondary hose to the plenum for the inlet, over the engine but keep it disconnected unless offroad/dusty as it causes a MAF fault. The 5.0 is a hungry beast for air. I've toyed with taking the snorkel and copying/printing a LHD version. It would be very easy to do. Is just further down the list. Maybe this summer.

Only issue for me is rubbing on the ARB bumper skid plates when in reverse. I cut/slimmed my frame horns at the back of the wheel well. Otherwise they would definitely be rubbing there. Slight/minor rub on the slider. Will go away as they where down.

I know nothing be about 3d printing, but if you do this, I will split the cost with you if you will run me off one as well.

Please shoot me an IM if you are serious about it.

LR4 SCV6 can not fit snorkels as it’s a duel air intake. LR4 diesel models have snorkel kits
He may have fitted a snorkel on the scv6 but not sealed it. But that may cause an imbalance between the two air intakes
