Just curious... has anyone had a battery fail in the LR4 with zero warning? Walk out to the truck one morning and it's just DOA? Usually, batteries give SOME warning for days or weeks prior to failure (unless it's a shorted cell, which can happen at any time, not just on "old" batteries).

BTW - I've had really bad luck with Interstate batteries. Like, a half-dozen different ones all failing with a shorted cell, mostly well within warranty period. They were all wet/flooded, not AGM, over a period of maybe 10 years? I don't buy Interstate anymore; and I now only buy AGM.

Well, my old Interstate more or less gave up the ghost one day when I was out messing with the GAP tool. I was able to jump my LR4 and get it going again, but took the battery into the local Interstate the next day and they replaced it under warranty.

Just today I replaced battery in my 2016 LR4.
I put in an Interstate MTX/94 R7: 850 CCA.

My original was getting dicey and I simply didn’t want to work with closest dealer (would’ve killed at least a day) so i had my local indie do it.

Walmart has a re-branded version of that Autocraft battery, both are made by Johnson Controls. They appear identical, including the "Made in Germany" sticker. The NeverStart version is priced at $150 plus core, which is the lowest price I know of for any Group 49/H8 AGM. And, as a bonus it claims to have a 5-year free replacement warranty. The AutoCraft is $197 but you may be able to get a 20-25% off coupon. But it still only has a 3-year warranty.

Only catch is, not all Walmart stores carry this particular battery. For a while, none of the stores in my area had them, but finally one store got a couple in stock. I picked one up a couple months ago for a different vehicle, I'll see how it works out in the long run.
