LR4 SCV6 can not fit snorkels as it’s a duel air intake. LR4 diesel models have snorkel kits
He may have fitted a snorkel on the scv6 but not sealed it. But that may cause an imbalance between the two air intakes

See his earlier post in the thread.

He is running a part-time crossover pipe through the engine bay for the driver's side intake.

Moving over to Compos and need some help tie up the details please ...

The tire guy warned me about the "added weight" of BFG KO2s (265/65R18) and said the LR4 air suspension would wear out sooner because of it. Had I made the "necessary modifications" to handle the added weight? I've never heard a mention of this on this forum and just want to be sure no one has any feedback on this? Sounds like a bunch of crap since the chassis sits on the bags, not the tires.

Has anyone experienced negative impact of reinstalling TPMS sensors? There are so many sellers for new sensors from very cheap to very expensive, I'm hedging toward the refit for piece of mind. Seems like anyone can build their own. Would appreciate some guidance.

Last, looking for the dimensions for the center cap for the Compos to go on Ebay to buy new. Seems like the stock rims are 63mm. Same for the Compos? Anyone have a recommendation?

Thanks!

Thanks!

You can get the OEM sensors off Rock Auto for a very good price.

Your tire guy should stick to tires.
ditto. your tire guy doesn't know anything about suspension or physics. added unsprung weight will affect rotating mass and thus BRAKING, and could affect handling... in racing. it wont wear out your bags. .

I have read this post thoroughly, but didn't see my particular question answered. On a standard NAS, 2013 LR4 HD, if I'm running PD1881's, with BFG 265/65/18's, do I need to relocate the wiring harness run in the driver's side wheel well? Or, is that only of I go bigger than 265/65/18?

Thank you for the clarification, Land Rover Wheel and Tire Combo Gods :adore:

It is unlikely that you will rub it, but its close. I moved mine a bit and zip tied it out of the way just in case. When I clog up the tires with mud and rocks it does seem to touch that side at full steering lock.

FIRST POST ALERT: Love the info in this thread!

Can't seem to find how much the compomotives weigh. Anyone know?

Tuffants are 39lbs and I'm little worried about the extra unsprung steel affecting ride quality. Getting as close as ever pulling the trigger on some tuffants and 265/60 KO2s.

Tipping point was that I just drove the Mojave Trail last weekend and got a flat on one my street tires about an hour in. The ensuing anxiety of not having another spare for 100+ miles of off-roading is not something I want to experience again. Want to know what troll said a Subaru Outback could have done that trail...

Ok, this is a little more ‘wheel’ than ‘tire’ oriented but...

What is the minimum spacer width when using the LR3 18” wheels on the LR4?

I have seen the following referenced:

1.25”
30mm
25mm

Assuming less is more in this case, what is the minimum size without having to mod?
