Re: 2013 LR4 LUX
Hood flutter and buffeting at speed, especially in windy conditions
Both latches adjusted in lowest position and both firmly latched
Both rubber bumpers screwed out to contact hood corners
Minimal movement when pulling up on hood corners
Have considered taking down hood insulation and using 3M sealant between hood skin and frame
Does anyone have this and any experience with minimizing the problem
I also have a 2006 LR3 with no hood movement at all
Honda Pilots have a similar problem
Here is the service bulliten

Thanks for sharing any advice or experience

Weird. 2010 and I live in a very windy area. So windy I lose a pillar garnishes time to time lol. No hood flutter. Check for broken welds on the underside?

Is the whole hood moving or are you just seeing the middle pulse? I see a little flex in the middle at 90+ with cross winds but I'd expect that is normal

I thought i was the only one who had this issue...it happens when the hood latch on the passenger side or* drivers side of the bonnet gets worn. You had to slam it with force, but not actually press on the hood once it’s slammed down. If you slam it down and let the force of your hands act on the bonnet while it’s shut it’ll bend the top of the hood. I had hood flutter and i got mad and slammed on it with my elbow and i had to pay a touchless dent repair guy $200 to get the dent out of the hood where my elbow left an imprint. So just make sure you slam it hard but don’t shove on it. The side that you see is fluttering more is the side with the issue. For me it was the passenger side. It happened over 70MPH with a headwind.

I've only had this issue when I've slammed down the hood. The correct way to close it is to lower the hood down for initial engagement with the latch, then press down firmly with palms each side of the latch. The OP may already do this, and has another problem but that was my own experience.

I close mine by lowering it then holding the edge in my finger tips a few inches above the latch loop. Let it drop and latch, then give it a little tug upwards to make sure the latch engaged.

Mine did flutter, when I removed the passenger hood latch to bypass the annoying alarm switch and reattached the latch that solved the hood flutter.
