So the starter was toast. Was hoping for a miracle. Can’t turn over via flywheel or with 15/16 socket at crank in either direction. Picked up and engine hoist today and going to pull the motor this weekend hopefully and see what’s the problem. It’s not likely the transmission unless for some crazy reason the torque convert it froze also. I’ve been doing some reading and searching and do not see a lot or any rebuild kits for the motor. I did find some in my area, northern calif, at dismantling yards and lkq that offer a 1 year and video proof they run. So still digging.

Before you do all that, why not just remove & replace the starter? It’s not a difficult DIY at all.

I did remove the starter. It won’t turn over on the bench. And we tried turning motor over manually via flywheel and crank bolt. It’s not budging.

I would recommend the first thing you do is put a socket and bar on the front crankshaft retaining bolt, and see if the unit will physically turn over, I suspect it may well be seized up hence he reason the bank end up retaining ownership NOT A CHEAP FIX.!

Before attempting to break it, pull off the fan clutch (left threaded), put it in Neutral instead of Park, and turn the crank clockwise to see if it can spin. If it spins and has compression, then you're in the clear. Meaning it has something to do with electrical. Also test your starter by plugging it directly to the battery off the vehicle.

You may want to put a 12v light tester on the starter cable and have someone press the Start button to see if you're actually getting an electrical signal to the starter.

Oh I also assumed that you're getting power to everything, but it just doesn't start. Let's just verify that you can just press the Start button without pressing the brakes to get music, lights on, etc... If you're not getting any of that, then you have an issue.

Well I have been super busy. But heres update. Motor is not seized but it does have some friction or a rough spot when turning over with breaker bar. I'm guessing scored pistons. Pulling it out today finally. Then the tear down will begin. Heres a pic where I am at with it. Radiator still has to come out.
