Does Air suspension need to be in Offroad mode for Hoisting jack?

All I do is lock it down in access height, that keeps the bags nice and tight. Tell me if i'm missing something. I seriously mean that.

The problem is, you can't "lock it down". When you jack up one wheel, it doesn't really matter which height you start from, access or off-road, the suspension will extend all the way down before the tire gets off the ground.

odd.. umbertob -...

so if you do as the manual says
lock parking brake and raise to offroad height and use normal single tire jack the suspension does lock.

however I have never gotten it to work at the shops when we use normal 2-3 ton jacks or lifts.

when you use factory jack, actually stops the suspension and even appears to lift and tuck the tire into the well.

LR3 same thing - next time I use the proper jack in the proper placement I'll take a video of it...
don't like to change them and that is the slow way in my opinion. I often let them droop down and yes getting all 4 in the air can be a balancing trick on 3 Jacks sometimes takes 4.

LR3/LR4/RRS
Older RR this didn't work - but never tried factory jack either.

Finally had a few minutes while doing some tire changes recently..

Only Took 10+ Years to get a video of it....

Parked - No brake Set and in Normal Height, Vehicle ShutOff
yes have also seen it work in Offroad height as well but didn't test.

Placed the Jack directly Under the A-Arm Joint (generally a No-No), but hey watch the video

- Slow lift and it works.
Tire Tucks Up on its own.

Have never seen this... I'll try it when I rotate my tires next time.

That's weird.

I put the LR4 in off-road mode and bring it up with my lift. Tires don't tuck in at all. They all hang down. In fact it's a nuisance because they come in at such a steep positive camber that if I let it down on my Racedeck tile dry, it will unsnap my tiles. I have to put cardboard discs (from Tire Rack shipments) under each tire so that they can slide laterally.

Before my lift, when I did one whee at a time, I don't recall that either, but I did jack it from the frame. That was a lot of jacking. I had to put my floor jack on top of two 2x10's and I barely got the tire off the ground.
