I saw someone install RRS headrests in their LR4 and it appears to have improved visibility dramatically. Has anyone on here done this?

I pulled out the second row middle seat headrest the moment I took my LR4 home from the dealer. That helped a lot.
I did the same thing. All you have to do is remove the center rest.
It also fits perfectly in the gap between the 2nd and 3rd row seats when they are folded down (the foot well I guess). So I always have it with me for the times I have to put someone in the middle and want to slide it back in.

I wonder if his seats still fold down with those installed? I'm putting my seats down multiple times a week based on what recreation gear I'm loading in and out of it.

I want to say the 5 seat LR4 also had lower headrests?

Looks like PN LR020287 for the center one ?

That was my first question...

Next question is how do you even get the current ones out.? I tried for about 15 seconds once and gave up cause it seems like there was something specifically stopping it from being removed. Would love to remove the middle one.

There's a sort of hidden button/switch on one of the plastic base-pieces on the seat that go around the headrest posts. It's not the same one used to adjust the height.

I removed my center headrest on the rear a long time ago.

You just changed my life!!

I went and took it out just now. Not sure I how I missed that little hidden button, but it is easy to miss if you don't know to look for it.

Those definately look like the 5-seater LR4 headrests. In the LR3 the 5-seaters got better rear seats as well, I am not 100% if the seats changed on the LR4 This is a 2016 5-seater LR4:
