I'm the original owner and am returning my 2016 Range Rover TD6 because the residual value is higher than I want to pay and have decided to make some upgrades and get economical by driving the LR3 for a few more years and put some refurbishing into it.

What service needs should I budget for in the near future? What upgrades should I consider?

Recently did
- Front Lower Control Arms with Poly Bushings
- EBC rotors and pads
- KO2's 275/55/18
- LED headlight bulbs

Based on age I'm concerned about:
- the original air suspension (compressor and bags)
- radiator

I'd like to upgrade:
- heated seats
-bluetooth for phone use and music
-fill the empty Nav bay with some kind of set up that has back up camera and Apple Car Play
- maybe replace the dash looks ugly with the cracks over the passenger section over the airbag
- would love love love to have the TD6 that is in the 2016 Range Rover transplanted in the 2007 LR3
- rear tire carrier
- Auxiliary fuel tank or something to make use of the space for the spare tire that I can't use with my too big tires
- With the different people that drive my car I would love to get memory seats (too many times of slamming my knee in the dash)
- Brighter fog light option

spark plugs, tranny fluid, alternator, front air shocks....all candidates for updating or will need replaced soon....hmmm, I'll have to keep thinking. Have you removed the plastic bleeder T in the coolant system? PCV Valve? Front diff breather? How are those diff and T-case fluids?

While you are changing the plugs and oil, might as well do a complete BG engine service.

Had the Diff replaced under warranty 3 years ago.
Replaced the Alternator 3 years ago
Replaced the PCV valve 3 mo ago
What is BG engine service?
Truely don't know much about the coolant system but was warned that it needed replacing in the next year

I'd just stay on top of fluid changes on that diff, then. BG is a series of engine treatments. What I know of them is that they come in sort of a "3-pack." One can goes into your fuel tank. Another is used as part of an air-induction service...and the 3rd goes into the fuel rail. I have done all but the latter, because I was told that the product that goes through the fuel rail can be harsh on the plugs, and that it's better to do that just before a planned change of the spark plugs. (Also an oil change concurrent with any of these is a good idea). So I held on to that can...and will use it when I next change my plugs. Problem is, at 2000 miles/year that might be a LONNNNG time as I'm currently at 128k. Maybe I'll use it on my 2006, it's racking up the miles much quicker.

Just bought a 2007 LR3 V6 with about 71k and very well looked after so would be interested in a few modern conveniences as well. On your list the Bluetooth capability and a backup cam/carplay would be great.

I recently found this for Bluetooth and will order one if they are still producing it. It does require running a separate wire for the microphone.
