Thanks for the help - problem solved.

I cleaned the throttle body as suggested (toothbrush + throttle body cleaner for pivot points) and threw on a new gasket while I was at it.
No more P0106 codes.

Appreciate the tips.

Cleaner, a clean rag, toothbrush, a socket set and possibly a Gap IID tool. The gap tool for re-calibration of the throttle body.

I cleaned mine and didn’t use the Gap IID. Don’t know if I was just lucky or if Gap is just good practice.

Mahalo for the reply! I have a GAP tool so ill figure that part after. Exactly how to i go about cleaning the throttle body?... never done one before and everything I've read so far says not to touch the "flaps". Again, apologies ahead of time for the amateur questions.
I'm picking up a new MAP sensor tomorrow and since I'm already opening up the hood, I want to be able to clean the throttle body correctly.
Any and all info, step by step processes would be greatly appreciated!

No map sensor necessary. Clean the tb and that should clear your issue. If you YouTube lr4 throttle body clean, you can see it. There’s not much to it.

You just need to get the tb off the intake and clean it really well, especially around the pivots on the flap. Then use your gap tool to recalibrate

Mahalo Scott,
Saw the video. Just wanted to make sure that I can touch the “flaps” and clean everything well and not have to bring to dealership.
How do I go about with the GAP tool recalibration?...

You can clean away! Moving the throttle body “flap” is necessary to get it really clean. Once you’ve done that though, you’ll likely need to recalibrate. I’ll look at my gap tool in a couple hours. If I recall correctly it’s under the PCM function

Edit:
So you need to clear adaptation values.

Scott, once again big mahalo for your help! ill get to this today and post my experience and results.
Went to the LR dealer and bought the sensor since i figured i do both jobs at the same time just incase. fairly straight forward. i didnt disconnect the 2 hoses going to the throttle body as i was able to clean everything needed. Suffice to say, it was black as nite in there :) Followed your steps with the GAP tool and started the engine up. MUCH better!!!
Now to figure out the weird vibrations when i turn left...
