Seems to match the leaked images we saw earlier this week.

Yes it does, and that's a little discouraging. Looks aren't everything, but they're a lot when it's an icon that's being refreshed. That front end is really leaving me cold when viewed in that admittedly crappy spy shot. But let's see it in the official debut. I want to like it.

Just saw this on Lucky8s IG...

Same nonsense Hummer H2 like higher belt line (restricting outward visibility and killing the open feel of command view seating position) and then that dreaded tapering roof line like the current RR, RRS, and D5, killing any potential of presence/substance.

You can get our design lead(s) here out of Ford, but you certainly can't get the Ford out of him :)

Stickin with my LR4 for the long haul I guess, glad I purchased one of the last ones.

Ha. The Ford design style would have been a much better nod to the old version. Mustang much?

These clowns at JLR don't know what they are doing. Agree 100% on your take of the design, especially the "dreaded tapering roof line" but that didn't come from Ford. Nope, these bloody fools mucked it up all by themselves.

I’m not hating that rendering. Definitely not the icon we were looking for, but a solid lr4 replacement. It looks like it’s got 18” rims here- but what kind of shena****ns will we have to go through to get those on? Lol

Agreed on all counts.

Those tires would be 35" at least, and I can only imagine the massaging it would take to fit those in there.

The same guy has a few other renderings on his instagram page, most of which are more realistic. https://www.instagram.com/ddl.design/

Here is a slightly zoomed out version of the LR teaser image showing the diamond plate part of the hood. This gives the illusion of the hood opening being straight back where the previous images showing it going around the diamond plate part, so I think it is just optics in this case.
