I've got a 2016 LR4 HSE Luxury with 50,000 km on it. The today I got an ECU (with a diagnol line thru it) warning light in yellow. Truck is working fine although I did have the brakes redone about a week ago.
Does anyone know what this means? I can't seem to find anhthing specific about it.
Thanks, Pat

We'll need more information to be of any help.

In the immediate term, you can use the menu selector on the right side of the steering wheel to see if "show warnings" will tell you what the warning is in general terms.

But you'll still want to take it to a mechanic or an auto parts store with a code reader so they can read the error code and tell you what it is. Take that error code and search for it here.

Thanks Ryanjl. I did check show warnings but it didn't provide any additional info. I guess I'll pop by the dealer on Tuesday

An update.
The warning that I thought said "ECU" actually says "ECO". Investigation shows this refers to the Auto Off/Start function (that shuts the engine off at a stop light) and not the engine control unit as I thought. The switch to turn this on/off below the radio gives a screen notice that it is not operational when pressed - thus the warning I presume. I found the auto off/on function annoying so I'm not bothered by it not working. I borrowed a friends code reader but it didn't report any error codes so I'm hoping I can just ignore it. However, I'd welcome your thoughts. Thanks, Pat

Your second smaller battery for the eco start system is probably dead.

Hi Ryanjl. I've not heard of a second smaller battery. Where is this located and/or would you know where I might find info re checking and replacing it?
Your 2013 comment is interesting. My first LR4 was a 5.8L v8 and it got better mileage than my 2016 supercharged V6 and it didn't have eco stop/start. Go figure
Thanks for this observation.

Check out the LR tech bulletin I just came across from Jan 2015 on Eco stop/start Inoperative.
