Its my understanding that Land rover is phasing out diesels in the US in favor of hybrids.

ar077, just for kicks I went to the international LR website instead of North America and the diesels are on there, along with the petrol engines we can option. I would prefer the diesel. Guess we'll see what hits the dealers.

No immediate plans for diesel Defenders in the US, it will not be in the first year for sure, most likely never as they are working toward the PHEV release next year in addition to the MHEV P400 which will be the staple of US spec Defenders. It's an electric future, like it or not....

The thing he calls an aero spat looks like a jacking point to me. I think this thing is going to be my street vehicle and the LR3 will continue to be the trail runner.
