good day to all

I need to remove my fuel filler neck assembly from my 2001 discovery 2. Can anyone give me instructions, or point me to this information? Thx.

I used to have access to the online repair manual to send a link too, but it is no longer there. I will look at my other computer and see if I still have it downloaded. Either way the fuller neck shouldn't be to hard to work out. Remove the tire and remove.

I have a copy of the D2 repair manual for 1999 My and up. The file is 37,000 kb. It won't let me download the file too big. I will try to just get you what areas you want. What are you trying to repair besides the fuel fill tube.

Thank you for your reply. Someone vandalized my vehicle, maybe to steal the gasoline in it. They cut the fuel filler hose in half. But I also noticed that the, I think it is a 10mm bolt holding the bracket that holds the fuel filler pipe was missing. The hose is definitely damaged, i’m not sure if the pipe is though. I thought maybe I would pull out the whole part to see. Thanks again.

Ouch! Thank the high prices of Go Juice in this state vs others with us having many refineries so close to the S.F. area with ships arriving delivering crude as example.
There any sheet metal and or paint finish damage? Hope not.
On the bright side I was told years ago a D1 had it's plastic tank stabbed and drained with more thjan half drained down the curb. They must of only needed a couple of gallons? LR dealership had it "covered" with the splitting tank fire hazard recall. That was a good dealership service writer working with the customer. Also a friend of mine now retired......~~=o&o>........

I have a 2001 d2. The hose is damaged, maybe the neck is also. So I am going to pull the neck out, and replace the whole assembly. Not sure how to do it though. I”ll soon have to get a mechanic to do it, maybe a mobile mechanic.

Be brave Ken and remove what's damaged yourself. It's basic plumbing like open heart surgery that went public TV years ago, no biggie. Save on labor and profits and do it yourself, get up and personal with your Rover, learn what she wants giving her the needed attention she's craving for. ****** her curvy dash with passion, she'll return your affection with many romantic rides and forever love you.....~~=o&o>......
