I'm putting my tank back after replacing the fuel pump and sensors and there is a hose I can't remember what it was fastened too. The manual isn't any help and I can't seem to find a pic of this hose anywhere, it's in the tank and I think was fastened to the top of the fuel pump housing and clips right in but does it connect to anything or is it a vent line? HELP!!

Well I got a reply from the UK Disco board that hose goes where I have it and doesn't hook to anything. Got everything back in place and hooked up and the gauge works now but the truck won't start. It starts to sputter and wants to start but no luck. I put more fuel in the tank to the point that it shows a quarter full but still no start so I have pulled the tank back out and am thinking I'm going to go ahead and replace the whole fuel pump assembly. I had replaced just the pump with an aftermarket pump because with over 200k I figured while the tank was out it made sense to replace the pump and it was $125 vs $500+ for a new assembly. I'm open to thoughts if anyone has any.

**Supplemental thought, for anyone who is leery of pulling their tank to replace a pump or sending unit, after doing it twice it's really as simple as 4 connectors, a plug, and six bolts not including the heat shield. There is a vid on you tube that is pretty detailed on pulling the tank and also one on removing the sending units.

Ok so here I am with the new aftermarket fuel pump assembly installed and no start. I can't find any kind of bleeder on the fuel rail. I've checked the pump fuses under the hood and the relay and no change. No specific codes other than the normal one's. For anyone who has installed a fuel pump am I missing something? I really don't hear it running but not sure that I would since it's in the tank.

So final update, checked relays, fuses, and cranked a few more cycles and IT LIVES! Not sure if it took that many fuel cycles to prime up to the fuel rail but a cursory neighborhood cruise and a celbratory brew say things are looking good. Tomorrow commute will tell the tale, and the fuel gage works as expected. Cheers!
