WalMart currently has the Wrangler Duratrac's for $299, but in

255/55R19 111 S

but does not list these as fitting the LR4.

While DiscountTire has the Wrangler Duratrac for $315 in

255/55R19 111Q XL RBL

Which they do list as a proper fit for the LR4.

Does the 111S @ Walmart truly not fit the LR4 properly?

Still trying to decide between the Duratrac, Conti TerrainContacts and Cooper Xeon LTs, but understanding this is part of the decision making process.

Thanks for any input.

... and I still don't understand why sidewall load/ply ratings do not even seem to be specced on 19" tires. All I can get is "XL", which doesn't seems specific to sidewall.

Goodyear is getting pretty close to permanently losing me as a customer, as there seems to be no customer support line whatsoever where you can reach a representative that has any knowledge at all (beyond being able to help you order some) about their tire models.

I'm trying to verify that this 255/55/R19 111S actually exists. No one else but Walmart has it, so I'm curious whether Goodyear actually manufactures such a tire, or only the 111Q version that everyone else stocks. I can't make sense of why only Walmart would have the S and, perhaps more confusingly, why the S (with what would be a 2 speed class higher rating and thus a more versatile tire) is be cheaper than the Q. Now the answer to that could be "because it's at Walmart," but again you'd think I'd be able to call GOODYEAR and ask them about the tires they make.

If it’s anything else like other huge vendors like Costco or similar Goodyear could have a deal with Walmart to sell the same product but under a different model number. This keeps them from having to price match with other vendors since it’s not the same product but in reality it is.

But this wouldn't just be a meaningless model #/name change. 111Q vs. 111S are two entirely different speed ratings. In this case, it would mean the "Walmart version" would be rated as road safe at 112 mph vs. a limit of 99 mph for the "other" version. Not that I plan on going either of those speeds, but obviously one would buy the tire with the higher speed rating (and that is around $15-20 cheaper per tire) if it's a real thing.

I replaced the original tires (Continental) on my 2012 LR4 with a set of Michelins (same as dealer suggested) from Costco -- about 3/4 the price.

But, Costco removes the factory applied anti-seize -- Ugh! That's their policy.

I like LR prefer using it; so LR re-applied it -- Costco was good enough to pay for it, and any repairs I needed for the life of the tires. But said we won't sell you another set.

Got the next set at LR.

If you are set on those tires AND use them off road, buy them from discount tire and get the certificates. You’ll need them. Discount tires policy is WAY more lenient than Wally World.
