I like the Sequoia, keep considering it as a possibility, but not until the refresh at this point since it is definately coming.

Blackangie posted a couple interesting things in another forum:

Video of the extreme testing of the defender is here. You can see the factory winch in the video as well.

Plus the Defender SVR has already been revealed:

Jesus. You would think the Defender would be the one vehicle where Land Rover would have the "special vehicles" department make an "SVR" offroad version of, and not the "if you wanted a sports sedan, maybe you should have bought a sports sedan" version of.

Totally agree. Already offer the Range Rover Sport SVR on-road version for that purpose. Make an extra rugged Defender SVR off-road version with that V8.

That cancelled D5 SVR offroad version is the one D5 that many of us may have traded-in our LR4 for.

Same thought... otherwise will continue to hold to my LR4...

The D5 edition was an "SVX", so perhaps there may be another edition of the Defender that comes out that is "extra" offroad oriented where the SVR is obviously the racing edition, for lack of a better term. But I am not sure considering all the options already available for the Defender.

Could not agree more. This is what you get under the current lead(s) there, just plain ridiculous. Also, have no idea who they think they are fooling with all that marketing hype for the stock Defender being an offload with that crossover type monocoque chassis.
