Can you tell us more about this project? Looks so nice and clean, like it came that way from the factory! What did it take?

It’s a Terrafirma Discrete winch mount, bought off the shelf. I have a Smittybuilt winch fitted on it.

It was quite a fun project. The front of the landy comes off easy enough. Then the box section bumper was next. Just a few simple bolts for that one. Swap a few minor pieces onto the winch mount, another easy job as the bolt holes are already lined up.

The awkward part was measuring for the hole and then cutting it out with a dremell.

Then put it back together.

The wiring was simple enough, just wired up to the battery with a quick disconnect to isolate when it’s not in use.

Always wanted to do that on my old LR3, but never got around to it. Nicely done!

Here is my 2016 (HSE LUX, HD, Tow pack, landmark wheels)

2nd pic: what he looked like with the first modification (1up bike rack added)

BTW: selling these wheels (5x20”) and tires (4xNexen new and spare pirelli old) and side-steps pm if interested.

3rd pic: how he stands today ready for a road trip with the family. Typically, the Thule box isn’t on nor is the basket rack on back.

Daily he has new shoes (265-65 r18 K02’s on compomotives), the smallest Johnson rod lift, a new rack and ladder (prospeed plus unmounted spare carrier, jerry can racks, and floor boards), new sliders (rhino), and unseen in these images - a canvasback interior liner.
