Hi all - new registrant to the LR forums but I've been lurking for a bit. I bought our 2015 Corris Grey HSE Lux LR4 new in Sept 2015 (first brand new car) and it has been relatively trouble free outside of some initial alignment issues, an early ****** arm bushing, and the aux battery serving the stop/start dying early. I have a lot of experience with maintenance on BMW over the years but not LR (with the exception of oil changes, brakes, and an O2 sensor I did myself this year).

I have been searching the forum recently on a couple of issues; mainly mild coolant leaks/smell. Searching is sometimes difficult because posts relevant to the V8 will appear that may not necessarily be relevant to the SCV6. It seems I may expect to find crossover pipes and water pump to be the culprit of the coolant leak/smell. I was also reading posts about s/c maintenance and thinking maybe it makes sense at 65k miles to do this all at one time. Maybe change the pulley on the s/c for a bit more power? PCV valve? Plugs? I have used BG44K once but should I expect a lot of carbon build up on the valves? I have walnut blasting equipment for the N54 in my 2010 535ixT.

Is there anything else that is good preventative maintenance at 65k-80k miles? On BMWs this would be a cooling system overhaul (rad, water pump, t-stat, expansion tank, level sensor, temp sensor, and certain hoses) and maybe shocks/struts. I'd rather spend money and time on preventative maintenance now to avoid larger issues or unanticipated down time later.

Many thanks for any comments.....I will continue searching as well.

Transmission service by 80K miles. Replace fluid, filter and the mechatronic bridge/seals.

Don't discount the V8 posts when researching. The V6 is almost literally the same block with the rear pair of cylinders plugged. Supercharging system excepted, of course.

If they have never been done, a waterpump and crossover pipes replacement would be very hard to argue against.

Does the SCV6 suffers from the same problem of the waterpump and crossover pipes?
I remember reading somewhere that the issue had been fixed with the SCV6 engine. Was it not?

I hope you are all staying healthy. I'm finally getting back to this work now that I've had some slowing down of the family calendar.....not by design of course. I'm going long car parts so that I have plenty to do while we are trying to flatten the curve and have some questions before I order. Truck is at 70k miles.

I cannot for the life of me find an online parts catalog that I have 100% faith in. I'm trying to track down the SCV6 water pump, crossover pipes, and transmission fluid/filter change part numbers and have a couple of questions along the way.

Trans service
1) Is it worth it to find a metal trans pan that has interchangeable filter like Uroparts or similar?
2) LR065238 appears to be stock p/n for the pan/filter kit with gasket and bolts
3) LR065237 is a service kit - is this the complete mechatronic seal/bridge everyone refers to?
4) https://www.thectsc.com/ looks like maybe a good one stop for the whole thing?

Cooling service
1) Is the t-stat a good thing to replace while in here - LR062498?
2) LR097165 looks to be a pump with gasket and bolts. Happy to pay for genuine but is Eurospare any good?
3) LR028136 connecting pipe
4) LR092992 inlet/outlet crossover pipe
5) LR090630 inlet/outlet crossover pipe

S/C service
1) https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Genuin...-0-Liter-Jaguar-Land-Rover-Range/112433704125
2) C2Z28265 throttle body gasket
3) Anyone have any success with the performance pulley from same vendor?

Finally, BG44K as usual and a spring time oil change

Many thanks and stay healthy!

Hi guys,

Am I missing something, but I can't find reference for the transmission pan with separate filter for the 8 speed ZF gearbox. Are these interchangeable with the 6 speed?
