Thanks for all the great info guys! I am still really interested in the LR4, it's just tough to give up the versatility of the Touareg. I love the go anywhere capability, but I also tend to drive my Touareg like it's a BMW M3. When I make the switch to LR, it may end up being a used 2014 RRS Sc (although, if my business takes off, I'll definitely get the LR4 as well).

Realizing that any other rig I get into will be just as pricey, I think I'll keep my touareg for now.

Thanks again guys!

Just had the front and rear brakes done on my 2016 LR4 at ~ 50,000 km. Dealer charged $2200.00 Canadian or ~$1600 US. Hard to believe Tata Motor Limited is having financial difficulties.

You could do that job yourself for about $600 and 2 hours of your time. Or at an indy for about $800.

Hi Ryan,
This is great info and something I will definitely pursue when its time to do the brakes again. Love the truck but I'm very pleased its running so well.

I'm a service writer at an independent LR shop - most expensive repair I've been involved with is an engine swap in a 2014 Range Rover Sport. $15,516 in parts $5,957 in labor and we are still counting. 5-7K mile service intervals are important and cost effective.

Yep, would love to know what killed it. 5.0?

At that money, I'm calling the guy in Florida and guinea pigging it for an LS swap, or a 5.0 Cummins diesel like that in my Titan. Damn, that would be a great engine in an LR4 if the chassis could handle the weight.
