I'm curious if you find having the extra factory air tank useful and what tasks you use it for. I have a second one that has been sitting in my garage for several years, but I have never gotten around to installing it. I couldn't think of that many tasks that I thought I would do with it. It's too small (at least with the compressor I have) to run air tools, so I was basically down to using it to air bike tires and river floats, so I just threw a bike pump in the back instead.

Bike tire seating needs a good initial blast so the tank is useful for that. Otherwise, there isn't enough max psi and/or volume to be all that useful. Well, it does allow good 100 psi blast for blowing off crud or dust off the dash, but I only had the single compressor at the time and maybe the twin ARB would do better, or a Viar that could put more max psi into the tank, which would of course be more total volume for anything. Air tools of any real use I simply cannot see working though due to much higher output numbers needed.

That looks awesome @Steelman_Built - do the 1.5" Johnson Rods remove the ability to adjust the height on the air suspension, or how does that work?

For a 31.5" tire just give me the money you want to throw away on rods that actually reduce the good qualities engineered into the vehicle and I'll donate it to a shade tree mechanic or something else actually useful. Then you can just use the vehicle in exactly the same way while not costing yourself more $ long term on stupid rods LOL

looks awesome

Of course it looks awesome though. So do tires too wide to tuck into the fenders but they don't work too well in practice. That 265/65-18 is the perfect no issues size so rods are not needed whatsoever.

Does anyone know if the stock land rover center caps fit the EVO Dakar wheels? I'm considering ordering a set of these or the Tuffant steel wheels. I like the load rating of the EVO wheels but much prefer the price and maybe the look of the Tuffant wheels.

Just had a set installed today, tires are Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 265/65 18. Stock height. Ever so slight rub on full lock on frame horns. Not enough for me to start cutting away. So far I’ve only driven on the highway and the tires retain that comfortable ride. Maybe even more so with the added side wall. Pictures are at stock height and off road height

These look to be an amazing alternative even to the stock LR 18s for LR3. Do others have experience off road and is there any rubbing/clearances issues due to the offsets? I believe stock 18”s are 53mm and these are 35mm. Evo’s would be outward an additional 18mm and the Evo’s are 8.5” width vs stock at 8”. Looking at some of the pics tires look about even with the fenders, whereas the stock wheels are tucked in a little. I understand tire size makes a difference too, looking at 275/65/18. Would love to get more input on these from those that have run them for a while. Thanks!

Interested in knowing this as well. Also @Eric N, wheels/tires look great! How is the performance so far? Do you have center caps installed in yours? looks to be in the pics but not 100% sure.

I recently purchased a set of these for my LR3 and had a question :

What lug nuts are you guys running? Mainline Overland sent me a set of long splined lugs that I don't like the looks of (too long) and the don't have as much thread bite as the stock lugs, so I'm not sure if I have the correct ones or not. I have attached a pic of what I have. Looking at the other pictures of wheels on this thread, the lugs look nothing like the ones that I have.

Help would be appreciated since I certainly don't want to risk losing a wheel.

Thank you,

Rob
