How much have you used the bluetooth model? Can you do all of it's functions while rolling or does the vehicle still have to be stopped to actually do things like make adjustments or is it partial like changes you have to stop but checking codes maybe can be done while driving?

The model I have is several years old but works perfectly though I can't use it to see any data on an iphone like these new ones apparently provide. If I want to check and then clear a code, I have to be stopped and use the +/- and cruise control buttons - which the lucky8 page also says about theirs, which is why I figuring the bluetooth is mainly to allow a screen to show data while driving.... ?

I have pulled codes, cleared codes and watched live values, while on the fly.

I haven't attempted to adjust the suspension height while driving with it. It probably can it's never told me pull over first.

I'm simply not coordinated enough and I like living.

The BT interface is just sooo much more convenient than having to step through all the menus with the CC switches. I am sure GAP is willing to make a deal for an "upgrade" if you call or email them.

Yes, however a passenger could make such changes. Thanks for the quick reply.

Long story short I am diagnosing all of the electronic issues with my 2005 LR3 with 128k miles after getting the transmission serviced with new solenoids and fluid, after having leaked to a critically low state in which it couldn’t engage gears. Transmission is working good now!

Problem is I am still getting the following messages and lights after clearing all codes and resetting adaptations:

Abs light
Brake light
Traction control light
Amber air suspension light (after driving faster than 10)

Transmission fault
Hdc fault system unavailable
Special programs unavailable
Suspension lowered (after driving faster than 10)

Occasionally on start it will say transmission fault limited gears available and it will have engage reverse hard or start forward in 2nd gear. If I turn the car off and back on it’s fine again.

I am new to Land Rovers and have so far tried the following to no avail:

new battery
New tail light bulbs
New brake switch
Checked for loose fuses

Here are the codes it is still pulling after resetting (can’t reset srs though I have no lights for that)

Where should I go next?

Thanks in advance.

What state is your car battery in. Land Rover Discovery 3 relies on a fully charged battery. When I brought my Discovery 3 after a few days of owning it, my ABS light, Handbrake light and many other lights kept coming on and staying on. Went to Land Rover for help and they said you must have a reliable battery onboard. Otherwise the Discovery’s onboard computer because it’s so reliable on the battery feed even a small fluctuation in battery power thinks it has a problem when these fluctuations happen. I brought a new battery, reset the fault codes and all the faults disappeared. Another problem it could be is a short in your cables looms. Your Discovery 3 is now nearly 15 years old and cables do start to fail. It’s most likely the ABS speed sensor cables or one of the other parts sensors or modules.

those 2 white plastic tabs you have encircled just pops up. Use a trim removal tool or flat blade screwdriver and pop it out

Transmission need oil -gears problem/change transmission gasket/buy only transmission oil from dealer or rover parts.com

All your Christmas light coming on dash; 1) scanner - lights trigger it because it’s a general scanner 2) Air compressor
