Hahaha! I’m not at that mile stone in life so I don’t have to worry about that or about how dirty my car is getting ;). Thanks for your input really appreciate it because I wouldn’t be happy if what I paid for didn’t turn out as expected. Anything else you suggest I do that’s relatively cheap.

I can think of plenty of things to do, it’s the cheap part that’s hard! [emoji12]

I too am at that point where I’ve got to invest some $$ into the engine as it’s just time. Which, while necessary, drains all available “fun” funds. [emoji22]

Seriously though, try adding a sub and see how it sounds. If you like it, great! If you think it falls short, then keep going with the update/upgrade.

So, is this a bad time to ask why go through all this trouble just to add a few speakers? More speakers =/= better sound.

If I wanted to add amps and speakers, it would be to rip the existing system out downstream from the head unit and start from scratch.

Don’t have the money or time to do that, tight budget. Also I don’t have an issue with the mids or highs of the System personally i just want a little more boom and for it to be distributed across the cabin a little more evenly.

Pretty much the same for me too.... the JL audio speakers I’d like to put in there range from $400-$900 per pair....and at 14 (or 17) speakers, that’s getting astronomically pricey. And that doesn’t even factor amps in. When coupled to the fact that I’ve got to do the timing chains, elec. water pump, elec fan, new radiator, driveline fluid swap, intake gaskets and crossover tube, money is the biggest factor.

Plus for me, it’s my wife’s DD, as long as she’s happy, it’s all good....but a little extra sound (Aka the 825W amp) might not hurt....but what I’m really trying to do is swap in 2012+ electronics so I can stream via Bluetooth seamlessly...without something like a Bovee dongle or anything like that.

Agreed I have yet to do my timing chain and I’m paranoid to death about it happening especially with 110k on the clock. Infotainment system i doubt ill go through all the trouble, I’ve just gone for the short cut of just buying the Bovee. As for the 825w, I doubt ill ever get to swapping it, unless I win the lottery, Same goes for the infotainment system.

Just FYI, the timing chain isn’t due until 150K miles...hopefully that’ll relieve a little stress....and another quick FYI, I’m at about 157K on mine....but yes, I’m starting to get REALLY nervous. But $4K for the parts alone is A LOT to swallow right now.

And the 825W amp...I found on ebay/google for about $100-$200ish, so not too pricey for a power bump....it’s simply the longevity of the pre-2012 speakers I worry about.

If your really thinking about the amp I have found the whole set of speakers along with the amp listed for a very good price I can include the link. I’m not going to lie I was going to keep the secret to myself but I realized that I probably won’t end up doing it ever and it wouldn’t be right to pull that. Let me know if you want the link to it and I’ll send it. Also I’m not completely sure but I noticed that the connectors for the old and new speakers are different so just a heads up you will probably have to solder a bit.

The amp is behind the rear quarter panel in the cargo area on the passenger side.

Ok one thing that’s always confused me is the fact that the Logic7 System is the fact that from 10 to-11 they had a 14 speakers, but from 12-13 they had 17 speakers instead of 14. Where did they add the extra 3 speakers after the 14 speaker Logic7 system.
I got it confirmed that the mids in the front doors are in the 2012-13. Not in the 2011s. So that is two that are there.
