Just got a my car into the shop and along with the other things wrong with the car they told me there’s a blown engine mount. I know quite a bit about LR4s but I’ve never herd about a blown out motor mount. I haven’t noticed any excessive vibrations come on from the engine or anything like that. Let me know what you guys think or if you’ve had this issue.

Looking back on it though I noticed a knocking that I addressed in a previous forum and I believe what I herd was the Engine shaking on the mount. Still curious to hear if this has happened to anyone else.

Turns out it was definitely blown. Just got the car back and I did notice a little shake from the engine before at idol but now that I got it back the car is completely still and I don’t even feel the engine running.

I’ve noticed my driver seat vibrates a bit and i feel it in my hands also when holding the steering wheel at idle or a stop sign. Could it be the motor mounts? I remember not being able to notice if the engine was on or not. Now i could definitely tell it’s on. This gradually started happening for the past couple of months. If it is the motor mounts, where do i find OEM ones? I did a brief google search and only found used ones off of eBay and aftermarket ones.

There are a few Land Rover dealers online that sell at a slight discount. Shipping may vary widely between sites so you'll to go through the checkout process to see actual ship charges.

I don't have Microcat available right now to confirm the part number for the engine mount, but the current number MAY be KKB500770 (superceding older numbers KKB500311 and KKB50031). Looks like ~$80 each plus shipping and maybe sales tax. Double-check that part number before you order, but these dealers will have OE/Genuine parts:

For aftermarket, Corteco is claimed to be OEM, around $55-$65/ea, free shipping... possibly made in South Korea:

That will probably be the issue I’d guess. I had my bushings done with the motor mounts so as long as you’ve already done the bushings that should stop all the shaking. The mounts them selves should be fine, but the rubber part is probably cracked if not then blown out and it’s probably just metal on metal on the mounts. It shouldn’t be too pricey if you do the work your self.
