Hey everyone, I love this forum and am relatively new to the LR community. I love my 2015 LR4 but recently the second row side seat seems to be squeaking if no one is sat in it. Does anyone have a fix or thoughts on how to address this very annoying noise? I have tried securing the bolts. Greased it up, but still the noise is there.

Cheer, Owen

I had the same problem with my RRS and found the greasing and tightening didn't work. But when I loosened the bolts so I could actually move the seats a little bit it stopped. So I put some washers under the bolts to pick up more of the seat frame area just as a hunch and the noises went away immediately. Strange but true, hope this helps.

Mine does the same thing. Folding and dropping the seat down to the lowest position stops it. I leave it here for several days and then put the seat back in the upright position. The noise stays gone for a couple weeks then starts again. It sounds like it is coming from inside the seat. Two pieces of metal vibrating against each other inside. I think it is part of the relay that locks and unlocks the seat into position.

....this problem seems like a design flaw. I think it will take unhooking and peeling off some of the leather on the seatback and snooping around, but im afraid that will ultimately destroy the seat.
