Hello guys! Another issue I have with my fav suv. For a while I had cel codes p0171 and p0174. I’ve checked for leaks with carb cleaner around intake and anywhere it may be sucking in air and no change. I’ve checked fuel pressure with scan tool but it’s probably not as accurate as to mechanical gauge. I’ve cleaned the maf sensor, it seemed to help for a little while but light cane back on. So I ordered a new sensor online and installed it. Now I have all these codes p0171,172,174,175, and p0101. The sensor is nit from Land Rover, got it on eBay using part number from original. Drives great but every now and then it surges, and little rough on the idle when start. I don’t want to spend a butt load of money to take to shop. Has anyone had any issues similar?? Any other steps I should take?? before giving in and taking to shop. I only use premium gas. I have not changed the spark plugs, I’m the second owner so I don’t know the history of truck. Vehicle has 163k miles and even with codes on it drives strong. Thanks in advance guys[emoji95]

This is probably too late but I just went through the same thing. I ordered the Delphi MAF online and light and codes went away for a few months but came back. No leaks, so I ordered actual sensor which is Denso then installed. Light would go out but would come back after driving for half a day. Cleared CEL then nothing until after driving for half a day. It would drive me nuts but then I realized, I did not reset the adaptations for the MAF. I searched online on resetting adaptations without going to the dealer and found article about jumping your battery cables to each other (Disconnected from battery of course) for about 10 minutes which resets the ecu (i guess) and the adaptations. Tried it this morning and waiting to see if CEL and codes will pop back on on the way home from work.

Use your gap iid... if you have one. If you don’t have one, it needs to be on your Christmas list ;-)

I know it!:) I'm using ICarsoft unit which helps out a lot. Unfortunately, the CEL came back and same thing. I did order a TB seal since I noticed that when I had to remove the TB to change the thermostat housing, the metal seal was worn out and coincidentally, this issue started coming up after I replaced my thermo housing.

Have you tried cleaning your throttle body really well? This is what cured my issues. I had trouble with it still being symptomatic until I reset the car (you can hear the throttle open and close on shutdown). No problems since

Yup, even soaked it overnight to really get the gummed crud out. While soaking it, went in and dried out the oil residue inside the plenum coming from the PCV. Thinking of installing an oil catch can to reduce amount of oil going into the air plenum. I'll check it again when I replace the TB seal. It drives awesome with good power and acceleration. It's just after driving approximately 10-15 miles that the dang CEL comes on.

Reset is really important to do. My issue went away only after reset

Yep, that's what I figured. I'll do it after I replace the seal but will have to wait since rig will be in storage for a couple of months while I head overseas.

Update. CEL all gone now after resetting adaptation values. Also, re-calibrated air suspension after installing Rhino rods on the front to level rig, happy with how it looks and runs now.
