That sounds exactly like mine when timing was off. Keep in mind that these trucks set timing at before top dead center. To quickly get tdc, stick a kebab skewer in cylinder 1, turn the crank until the skewer is at the peak of the cylinder, and then tear down everything to check the timing marks. You can turn the crank counterclockwise maybe 1/16th of a turn to line up and lock the back of the intake and exhaust cams of each side. The crankshaft chuck should be pointed at the 6 o'clock position. Then line up the chains.

This is how it's suppose to look like when timing is set correctly. This video didn't show the crank chuck at the 6 o'clock position, but it does show how the cam gears locked in the back and timing marks set on the intake, exhaust and tensioner mark (for crank). Aww... it won't let you view the video without being part of the FB group. If you're part of the group, you can view it.

Guys we did a compression test and cylinders 2 and 4 have 0 compression.

Most likely going to need a head job on bank 2 cylinder head.

Before you do that, take off the intake manifold and check the valves to see if it's bent, sealed, or stuck open before you get too deep into something. It'll take 10 mins and it still might be timing not closing it properly.

Final update for this thread (not that anyone asked haha)

Bank 2 Cylinder Head had about 4 total bent valves. 2 Intake and 2 Exhaust.

Head was sent to a machine shop and got the works. Put everything back together and started it up.

BINGO. Car is running perfectly now, leaking a bit of coolant but everything is okay now.

Thank you to everyone for their tips and input.

The owner of the vehicle brought the car in cause you could hear the chain clicking while it ran.

I believe that was what caused the valves to bend. The hydraulic tensioner was not holding stiff. Would move in and out very frequently.

Also the guide rail was worn down. I believe it was a combination of the both.

Also the vehicle was purchased at an Auction. Be careful!
