DISCLAIMER: Measure yourself, and don't blame me for any variations between vehicles. Not responsible for any errors within what I am about to post...:) As I mentioned, it was a science project for me, and I wasn't thinking about posterity when doing it.

All in, I was right at a $1,000.00. That included $378.00 for the carpet and upholstery. I have never done that work before, so I paid a shop I knew would do a good job.

Below are receipt copies for my orders from EZ-Tube. Please note, that they screwed up one order and shipped the wrong color, but told me just to hold onto it and they would ship the correct color. I ended up using a good bit of that extra tube for the legs for the front platform. I would estimate about 20'. That 20' is not reflected in these receipts.

Not shown on these receipts is Carpet/upholstery, 2 additional EZ-Tube feet, piano hinge, a 4x8 sheet of birch plywood, a 2x4 sheet of birch plywood, plastic shim stock from Amazon, and several cans of spray on sealing primer (think KILZ).

The rear platform was done exactly according to the diagram Perkj posted at Expoportal. I can do some measuring when I get home, but it's going to be a week or so. If you look at the pictures in the first few posts in this thread, you can make out how the framing is done.

No way in hell :)

It was a science project from beginning to end.

if anyone is interested in doing one though, I'll be happy to share my lessons learned and what changes I would make if doing it again from scratch.

I am pretty happy overall with how it turned out.

Here we go for those interested.

Going to post a few pictures of the finished (mostly) product, and then will fill in some relevant details as time allows.

...
This is one of the coolest mods I've seen in a while. Thanks for sharing it. I can't say I'd have the patience to make this, but damn, when I go on road trips without the kids, the gear storage potential here is off the charts.

@avslash Can you post a link to the dimensions post on Expoportal? I've searched but can't find it.

Never mind, I see the link in your earlier post.

@avslash - If you are ever in Houston with this truck, please stop by Motorcars LTD, we'd like to see it. We'll give you a tour of our shop and all of the strong coffee you can stomach!

Haha. I live in Katy. I'll hit you up when back in town.

Currently doing my favorite thing. A double diamond Glade at the end of the day with a 4 beer buzz. Godd@mn, I love to ski...

What a great project mate. Thanks for posting this. I was gonna start something similar this spring, but I need to spend the money on a new parking brake module.
