The Bible has probably saved owners more money and cost dealers more profit than any other piece of work on the LR4/3.

Thanks again, Bodsy.

I don't recall if the updated bible has this info but a couple notes would be great. With counter weighted front pads. Weight goes top and to the outside. The rubber bush pin goes on the bottom. Use silicone lube otherwise your rubber bushing will hate you and stick in the caliper.

I cannot seem to enter into service mode. At least I get no feedback that I am or not.

What could be happening? I tried the procedure with the car off, in accessory mode and with the ignition on. No luck.

Job done. OEM rear rotors (that I had bought as part of a 4-wheel full OEM service kit 4 years ago) with EBC yellow pads. LR4 seems very happy. EPB works very well.

Only issue is that rear left pads were evenly worn with maybe ~3/16" left in and out, but rear right had about 1/16" left on the outside but 1/4" on the inside. I'm unsettled by the uneven wear. I'll post a photo soon.

could be a sticky piston

The pins all glide very smoothly. Last time I did my rear pads, this is what I found:

In that case (3 years and 22k miles from factory-new) it was the left side (and the right also? I can't remember) that was wearing the outside pad more. As I mentioned, the left side had even wear 3.5 years and 20k miles later when I took them out yesterday.

In any event, brakes feel great now. There are a slight shudder at high speeds that appears gone now. Brakes could have waited until the fall on average, but that outside rear right pad may not have made it that far.
