I'm debating selling my 2008 LR3 HSE and am wondering what price is realistic to consider.
It's in good shape, 145k miles, Nokian WR2 tires with low miles.
Leather, heated seats, front/rear A/C, sound rubber floor mats, premium sound stereo, sunroof/moon roof, etc. The full HSE package.
It has there Rhino after-market hitch receiver.
IID tool
19" rims and a set of 18" rims with a full-size spare tire
Roof rails and cross bars
WARN 12500# winch in hidden mount
Brush bar (needs some rust repair work) and extra OEM driving lights
Some minor scratches from parking lot car doors but no off-roading damage as it hasn't been used for off-roading
Air suspension replaced, new front/rear diffs done under manufacturers warranty, etc., etc.

I got a new truck last year and with limited space in my driveway am debating about letting the family use if at the family Summer house or selling it. It has been a great LR3 and I've done my best to get maintenance and repairs done before they're needed - mindset of proactive maintenance and repairs to offset future costs.
Now, though, I need a truck to haul more equipment and "stuff" for the family.

Thanks for the help - also posted in the Selling section.

Not sure yet. Trying to get an idea first to help me decide what I want to do with it. Probably, with everything, somewhere between $8-10k.

Why on Earth would you get rid of it?

It's one of the best 4x4s ever made and if truly well cared for, can go on for another 15 years. You want to part with it for $8000??? I don't understand people.

Edit: oh I see now....you don't off-road it. That may explain it. You don't know what it is. Best of luck to you...

This is why I'm reaching out to chat and get ideas.
I don't have the time/places to easily go off-roading but that was one of the main reasons why I got my LR3 in the first place. I demo'd a LR3 in New Mexico 10 years ago and was very impressed with its capabilities.

You're right that it has generally been a road trip, commuting, etc. vehicle. I'm getting some rust on the underside due to living in New England and spending Summers on Martha's Vineyard with all the salt in the sand, water, and air. Added to that I live in Boston. Parking space is a serious shortage. My town we can't park on the street and I can barely fit my cars in the driveway - small lots, short driveways, no garage....

HOUM, didn't you get rid of your LR3 a few years ago too? I seem to remember reading that you were selling it.

But, I do love the LR3 and would love to take it off-roading more. Maybe I'll be able to do that when I retire from the Army......

Okay ok...that explains it. I didn't mean to come off "judgy." Find it a good home...$8500 sounds reasonable.

I didn't sell one...I bought another one!! :)
I've had my '05 since new. I bought an '06 last year and it's been great. Shored up a few things (bleeder valve, fluids, front shocks and valve blocks) and I'm happy having it around. My wife loves it.

You're good man!

Yeah, space, time, etc. big factors. I'm thinking about using it at my family's summer house on Martha's Vineyard. But that environment is ******* vehicles! And I don't really want the interior to get trashed with wet kids and dogs...... But it does solve a vehicle problem on island in the Summer.

I'll mull it for awhile. Maybe see how things go this Summer. My wife and I both love driving it, only 4x4 I've had that she's comfortable driving - aside from her 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Everything is competing for space, too, with my 1942 GPW and 1952 Willys M38 jeeps....

Thanks for the good recommendations!

Recommendations on how best to clean the underside before spraying it with the Boeshield? What about the best way to spray that on?
It did come with the rubber mats for the front and rear seat areas. I'll look into some of the WeatherTech mats.

I like the LR rubber mats better than Weathertech. Weathertech is a great company and I like their product but those LR mats are great.

I just power wash the underside. I sand and primer any surface rust, then I spray on the BOESHIELD. It's an aerosol delivery and it doesn't work very well if it's upside down long. If you can get the Rover on a rack, it makes life a lot easier.
