2010 LR4

Needing some advice, really just some validation on troubleshooting method. My LR4 is sitting as low as it can and I'm getting the suspension fault messages with 30 MPH max speed warning. I have replaced the compressor about 6 months ago. I'm expecting that I now have a sensor that has gone bad on the rear driver based on the info from the "4x4 Info" screen. Let me know what you guys think.

That's what I've always seen as a diagnosis of a ride height sensor: a wonky wheel in the 4x4 display.

I'm gonna diverge a bit. I've seen the display like that once, after the wiring loom in the front driver's side wheel well got ruptured. However, I was able to continue wheelin' on that trip. No issues just an Amber fault.

So I think it's a calibration issue. Could be related to the sensor...they hardly ever just fail on their own...but could be a connector back there or maybe a bent bracket. Usually the red faults related to speed are cross articulation faults and are calibration related.

Do you have a GAP tool?

I had the same exact issue, along with a suspension fault. It turns out i needed a new battery. Its been two years later and all is fine.

The "same exact issue along with" a suspension fault? You sure about that, @jlach993? The "same exact" issue already includes a suspension fault. I know I have an LR3 not an LR4, but this really doesn't sound like a battery issue. Are you sure your issue also presented itself in the 4x4 display as shown? ....and had a max speed warning at 30 MPH? Most voltage issues occur at startup.

I suggest the OP gets an IIDTool and reads the codes.

I am having the same issue and trying to determine what the cause is. I installed a new compressor and the car drove fine. Then the next day I installed the lift rods and after being in the rode for a couple of miles the car dropped and gave me the same errors. This time the light was red instead of yellow. @Houm_WA what is a GAP tool? Is that what I would need to calibrate the suspension? I was surprised to see the error since I haven’t seen anyone have issues like that after simply installing lift rods

Why did you install lift rods anyway? If it was to clear larger tires, the GAP tool is a better approach. The Johnson Rods guy is a snake oil salesman. There is no need for those. The GAP tool is the same as the IIDTool from GAP Diagnostics. It's a terrific took for the owner of an LR3/4. Google it.
